Double Booked by Emily Debenham

Double Booked (Ranchette Station, Book 2)
Double Booked by Emily Debenham
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Source: Received from Author to Review.
Genre: Contemporary Romance Novella

Book Description:  Eve Matthews is in charge of the biggest event of the holiday season—a charity Christmas Ball. Her planning committee is charging full steam ahead to throw the most romantic party of the decade until she discovers that her boyfriend Janus Clairbourne, head of Ranchette Station's Woodworkers Association, has double booked his tradeshow with her Christmas Ball. This misunderstanding could destroy a century-old charity organization and Eve's hopes for a romantic Christmas proposal.

My thoughts: This is a short and sweet novella. Sometimes misunderstanding can happen in a relationship. One can make plans without letting the other know in advance. Usually, it's not a big problem. In this book it is a HUGE problem. Both have scheduled large events on the same day at the same venue.

Fortunately, this does have a HEA, but I'm not going to tell you how it happens, you will have to read it to find out. The book is told in the third person and follows the couple during a short span of their courtship. There isn't a lot of opportunity for character development because it is a novella. It is great for the intent and length of the book.

The book is clean with some mild kissing.
