Colleen's Thoughts: Chelsea has endured a very traumatic experience, the result of which left her completely alone in the world. As she begins her new life in a new town, she meets a handsome man named Nick, and his baby, Jasmine. Their relationship develops quickly and they are soon dating seriously. (I would have liked more development and depth to their relationship - especially at the beginning. It seemed like things happened too fast without any build up. All of a sudden he was kissing her for some reason.) After a series of unexpected situations, Chelsea finds herself in the hospital with Nick by her side.
I enjoyed the story line of this book, but was disappointed in many ways. The dramatic events of Chelsea's past give some meat to the otherwise typical romance novel. Unfortunately, the numerous grammatical errors were distracting. In addition, I found it offensive that the dialogue and descriptions regarding some of the intimate situations in the story used vulgar terms, especially for a Christian Romance Novel. In fact, the dialogue in general seemed juvenile at times. I wished for more relationship development and less detail about things that seemed inconsequential - such as the driving directions to Nick's parents' house. My absolute favorite part of the book was Nick's beautiful words to Chelsea as he sat next to her in the hospital. THAT was romantic and sweet.
